What feels more like vacation than summer surf, sun and sea? Wherever in the world you find yourself, the same is true!
Scratching through the archives it dawned on me that living on the coast in Richards Bay, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa or Jupiter, Florida, United States, the sense of summer is exactly the same. The sweltering heat of the day leads, logically, to taking off as many clothes as possible, and plunging into the waves. Add a well-stocked cooler full of icy cold beverages, sunscreen, flip-flops and viola! – summer’s here!! The advantage in the US is that for three months of summer school’s out….
Whether it’s surfing, bodyboarding, kitesurfing, keeping fit or just chilling, the beach is the best place for it.
In Florida, the sea is better in the winter for kitesurfing but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen in the summer. The East coast of South Africa is good all year round.
For those people who are privileged enough to live on the coast, never take it for granted and make use of the wonderful beaches and surf that you’ve got at your disposal.
